Recently, I’ve been wanting to expand on my portfolio a bit and keep my skills in check but I didn’t know how to exactly. I’ve been there, done that with making my own company names up (you do run out after awhile), redesigning my own branding, attempting crowd sourcing, etc. None of them seemed to do the job.
I was taking a class on udemy (my work provides this without any additional cost to me) and they mentioned a generator that shows you fake clients to make things off of.
I’m impressed with what’s out there right now and I wanted to link for some new designers who need more work or older designers who just want to up their game and get their skills moving again!

FakeClients
FakeClients is very simple to use. You just choose what design you want then click generate brief. I like how easy it is to use. If you’re a student who is trying to beef their portfolio up a LOT, I would consider paying the $5. You will get some good practice if you do.

GoodBrief.io
This is another easy to use generator. You click the type of design and the industry you want to design for then click generate and you have a good length brief:
It looks like they only have a free version, so no pro briefs to worry about!
Briefz.biz
This one of my least favorite sites.
The briefs are simple and very very generic.
You can sign up for a free account and get access to all 250 for free.
Sharpen
This one is simple as well and the briefs are very short. You can choose between categories and what sort of design you’d like to do. I like that this one contains Marketing as well as Branding.
To use the generator, you choose your options then click “New Challenge” the words below are your challenge!
